Yoseline Rivera has seen the affects of ending D.E.I initiatives firsthand, as she saw her friends and colleagues belonging to the undocumented community lose lifelong protections. Now, she is doing something about it.

Ella Smith directly works with multiple cultural center's on campus. Through their work, they have seen the impact these places have in the community. So when the threat of the CRC's losing funding came to CSU, they took action.

Jesus is a recipient of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Act (DACA). D.E.I.A practices allowed him higher access to education. He uses this opportunity to give back to his community, despite the changes and concerns present.

Nurad'Dyn is a Peer Mentor at The Black African American Cultural Center. They joined (BAACC) to find community and safety after their experiences at a predominantly White instiution. Now, they worry that the Cultural Centers that provided them and so many others community are in jeporady.

Mark Zabel
Mark Zabel has taught the next generation of scientists and researchers for years. Along with his own research, the work he does with his students leads to scientific research that cures diseases and protects the environment. However, when the funding used to support that research is taken away, Mark has to come to make some tough decisions about ending research that has improved the lives of so many.
